Aid by Ali LLC recognizes the societal barriers and mental health struggles that often come with being able to embrace your authentic self and practice confidence, especially those who experience visible differences such as hair loss. We aim to provide a range of support options, from self-guided, to peer and professional support, so that everyone can find something that meets their needs based on where they are at in their hair loss journey. In this space, we believe that uniqueness is what creates true beauty and that everyone deserves to know that they are more than enough by just being you.

Alison Mann, MSW, LMSW
Hi! Welcome :) I am so glad you found your way here! My name is Alison Mann and I am the owner of Aid by Ali LLC. I also run @alison_mann and @aidbyali on instagram. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work and from Ramapo College of New Jersey and my Master of Social Work from New York University. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker providing psychotherapy for people who live in NY mainly specializing in anxiety and eating disorders. I currently work provide therapy through Body Positive Therapy NYC. I also provide mental health coaching for those who struggle with hair loss through my business, Aid by Ali!
My desire to join the mental health field stemmed from many things, but one being I did not see any providers who looked like me. I also noticed there was a HUGE lack in mental health resources for hair loss. We deserve professional care from people who truly understand and to be offered support on this journey!
I also spend time volunteering on committees for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) and Children’s Alopecia Project (CAP).
